Hail Repair

Have you ever noticed that while driving, especially at high speeds, your steering wheel is wobbling even though the road is perfectly smooth? If you see this happening, it would be good to think about balancing your tires, as these vibrations can seriously damage your vehicle over time.

Tire Balancing is done electronically to accurately balance the rim hoop to prevent it from vibrating when moving.
During the balancing process, the tire is placed in a machine that spins and shows how much extra weight must be added on either sides of the hoop. Typically, an imbalance is caused by wear of the rubber tires, which generates a continuous vibration. The redistribution of the weight of the tire is carried out through the application of small lead weights, which can be adhesive or eyebrow adjustable. Most driver’s manuals recommend balancing tires every 10,000 miles. When the tires begin to wear down, the grip the have on the road is decreased. Each tire has a wear bar. This bar appears several times during the life of the tire. When the tire is really worn (1.6 mm or 2 /32 ") the wear strip is easily visible. Usually, however, before the tire gets to this point, the ride is already wobbly and unstable.

Signs and causes of wear
